Meet Kay

Hello and welcome.

As with many of us, life brings joy as well as challenge. I grew up in a military family, constantly moving around the United States and abroad. At a young age I realized my calling to help people and chose a career in Nursing, where I acquired a broad range of experiences caring for adult patients, children in Pediatrics, and those hospitalized for Inpatient Psychiatry. After transitioning from the hospital setting to duties as a school nurse, my passion for promoting mental health grew, and led me to complete a Masters Degree and become a licensed therapist.

At various points in my life when I was experiencing challenges, I found myself looking for guidance. From dealing with my own grief process to the challenges of raising children, therapy assisted my ability to adapt to those tough life changes, and confirmed my desire to help people re-establish themselves with an added sense of resiliency that can sometimes seem lacking. My personal and professional experiences have honed my assessment and communication skills. The years of counseling and nursing experience helped refine my intuition to sense what central issues clients are facing. Collectively these blend together to make me a seasoned healer. With a solid belief in the process of healing, I am eager to share my skills to help you with the struggles you're facing today.

I welcome the opportunity to collaborate with you: to discover better ways to process thoughts and feelings that may be confusing you or holding you back; to help you deal with change; to work through grief and loss; to set attainable goals for a promising future.
